2022 Parkinson’s Walk for a Cure
Thank you for your interest in the 11th Annual Parkinson’s Walk for a Cure where families and friends join as one to increase awareness and provide ongoing support for those persons and caregivers in our community who are experiencing the real-life challenges of Parkinson’s disease (PD) and national funding to find a cure.
April is Parkinson’s Awareness Month! Our virtual and in-person events will be on April 30, 2022. The in-person event will be at Mary Virginia Crites Hannan Park, 1230 Pontius Rd, Circleville, OH 43113 with on-site registration beginning at 3:00 pm. A minimal registration fee of $25 that includes PWFAC 2022 t-shirt.
This year, we are pleased to have a “Delay the Disease™” warmup for everyone. Delay the DiseaseTM is a national model of exercise for those living with Parkinson’s disease. We invite everyone to experience this exciting and innovative program that will empower them to integrate this critical component of wellness into their lifestyle.
If you are unable to attend the in-person walk, but would still like to be involved, we are also offering a virtual walk also. Thank you, Carrie Hayes, for the idea! On the registration page, there is an option to choose which event you are most comfortable doing.
Half of your financial support remains here within our community through a partnership with the Pickaway County Community Foundation (PCCF). The other portion of your support is donated to the Parkinson’s Foundation for Research as they move forward in their research for treatment of Parkinson’s disease and to find a cure.
